After taking an almost 2 week break after the madness of the holiday season, and just about a month since my last newsletter, I wanted to take the time to say thank you ! It was a great holiday season despite some very hairy shipping issues. I believe all got there in time except for 2. ( I did send an email stating I would fill the order but could not guarantee it would arrive in time) It is disappointing when I get the cartons out and the post office says 2-3 days and 7 days later it still hasnt arrived. We have to keep in mind that online shopping is beyond expectations in today's world so I ask you order in plenty of time !!! Also want to wish you a happy HEALTHY and prosperous 2019!!
We are shipping Valentine decor now and if you want to pre order anything to pick up at the show just email me
Be Mine (mantle blocks)
I literally painted (and am still filling orders for 14 additional) Believe blocks around the clock during the holiday rush! 112 total, I was seeing them in my sleep. Apparently there was a photo that went crazy on Facebook of a mantle done with believe blocks and that's all it took. When I started these over a year ago, late in 2017 season, I knew they were cute but never expected the craziness. So for those of you who think your mantle looks lonely be sure to check out our Be Mine blocks, so cute for Valentine's Day! They can be done in our classic design or pink and gray! I hope to have a photo up soon of the pink and gray. And I am currently cutting blocks for Easter and Spring! http://www.dmzdesigns.com/mine-blocks-p-1442.html
After almost 15 years there is a possibility that there will be an increase in our slate sets, iron has had a tremendous increase in cost and my supplier sent an email stating there will be an increase , he is trying to keep it as minimal as possible. I wanted to let you know that once the stock of holders that I have are gone, the special pricing may change! As of now the small arch and holder is $35 when purchased together and the large rectangular slate and large holder, music stand style and double finial style are $45. You receive a $10 discount on the large , sold separately it would be $55, and you receive $5 on the small, sold separately it would be $40. So if you need gifts or were thinking of getting into the slate club, now is the time to do it! http://www.dmzdesigns.com/info_pages.php?pages_id=16 With all that being said, valentine slates are on special for $20 for the large rectangular slider (reg. $35, slate club price $25, and now slate special for $20, are you totally confused, lolol) Small arch style are always $26, cutting those arches is tough, so they stay at $26. Just write in comments section when checking out slate club member and I will edit the order before charging your card. http://www.dmzdesigns.com/-c-56.html?page=3&sort=2a
On a personal note, I want to thank everyone for the amazing support and patience the last couple of months! My unfortunate diagnosis in late Sept. certainly threw me for a loop and the idea of dialysis looming is unnerving. It came at a crazy busy time , which helped the sting of it all. I was too busy to think. I am a processor and it takes time for me to work it all out in my head. This disease is rampant in my family but I thought for sure I would defy the odds, unfortunately I have the rapidly progressive gene of PKD so that was a shocker! The down side is that I will not be doing any festivals or shows OUTSIDE of my home, those days are done. Everything I do is weighty. Slate, wrought iron, and wood! 55 lb tent etc. Lifting is part of days gone by. I will miss the social aspect of the shows, I love meeting new people, however I will still have shows in my home, which I love most. I will continue to work and I am hopeful I can do PD dialysis (overnight while sleeping) but I will know more in a week or so when I see my kidney team. I am hopeful, I'm able and mostly must continue to work, it is my therapy! I have decided that I will control this disease, it will NOT control or define me. IF there are any changes I will send an email stating so. Here's to hoping 2019 is another great year with as little obstacles as possible (for everyone)!
